Iolonioro: The Iolonioro Basic Education District (CEB) recorded an overall pass rate of 97.36% in the 2026 Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) examination, according to results announced Saturday by the single examination board. This performance reflects the quality of the work accomplished by those involved in the commune's education system.
According to Burkina Information Agency, gathered for the announcement of the results, education officials, municipal authorities, and parents of students praised a session marked by excellent results. In his speech, the chairman of the single jury, Kouakou Farma, first thanked all the participants for their presence before presenting the official statistics from the deliberations.
According to him, out of 389 registered candidates, including 199 girls and 190 boys, ten were absent. In total, 379 students, comprising 193 girls and 186 boys, actually took part in the exams. Following the corrections and deliberations, 369 candidates were declared successful, including 189 girls and 180 boys. The pass rate was 97.93% for girls and 96.77% for boys, for an overall average of 97.36%.
The jury president commended the commitment of all those involved in education who contributed to achieving these results. He expressed his gratitude to the teachers, educational supervisors, parents, and administrative and local authorities for their support throughout the school year.
Present at the ceremony, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the Iolonioro commune, Joachin Konkobo, congratulated the various education stakeholders for this remarkable achievement. He encouraged them to continue their efforts to further strengthen these gains and promote academic excellence in the commune.
For his part, the head of the Basic Education District, Bitiono Babon Bitiono, expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the smooth running of the exam. He particularly commended the school principals and the teachers of the final year classes for their dedication and professionalism. Mr. Bitiono urged them to maintain this momentum in order to allow the CEB to maintain, or even improve, its performance in the next sessions.
This brilliant harvest is all the more remarkable as 16 schools in the district achieved a 100% success rate, thus confirming the academic excellence that now characterizes the CEB of Iolonioro.
