Kabor the Intellectual’s National Tour Begins with Enthusiastic Audience in Fada N’Gourma

Ouagadougou: The national tour of comedian Kabor l'Intellectuel commenced on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Salle Polyvalente de Fada N'Gourma with an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from the audience. The event featured a performance entirely in the Moor language, drawing a full house.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Kabor l'Intellectuel was accompanied by fellow performers Nokorba, El Presidente, Loukman, and Diamond Girl, presenting over two hours of comedy to a large and appreciative audience. This initial performance highlights the strong interest among Burkinabe people for humor that reflects the country's social realities and cultural values.

With a seating capacity of over 1,500, the multipurpose hall in Fada N'Gourma was filled to the brim. Before the show even started, there were no available seats, leading many spectators to stand throughout the evening. Local comedians Fada Comdie and Aggara Boss 226 kicked off the event, setting the stage for Kabor the Intellectual.

Taking the stage at 8:30 pm, Kabor delivered a series of sketches and remarks that humorously addressed social issues such as inter-ethnic relationships, social cohesion, and daily life in Burkina Faso. The audience responded with unanimous satisfaction, with high school teacher Boukary Lingani expressing gratitude for the quality of the show.

Djibilirou Hassane, technical advisor in charge of Culture to the Governor of the Goulmou region, praised the initiative. He emphasized the show's role in promoting resilience, social cohesion, and well-being in Fada N'Gourma, a city that had not hosted a comedy event of this scale for several years.

Kabor the Intellectual expressed his appreciation for the audience's support, highlighting the satisfaction of performing in front of a full house. Diamond Girl also noted the significance of the performance, as it marked her first outside of Ouagadougou, underscoring the tour's role in reaching a broader audience.

Organized by Baarack Concepts, the tour will continue with performances in Tenkodogo, Kaya, and Ouahigouya, culminating in a grand finale in Ouagadougou. The initiative enjoys the patronage of comrade minister Pingdwend Gilbert Oudraogo and co-sponsorship from ministers Moumouni Zoungrana and Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara.
