Kenedougou Medical Facility Enhances Patient Care with New Access Ramp

Orodara: The Orodara Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) has enhanced its patient care capabilities with the addition of an access ramp connecting the imaging department to the operating theater. This facility was officially handed over to local health authorities on Friday, January 30, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the construction of this access ramp was solely funded by El Hadj Adama Traore, a native of Orodara residing in Mali. The ramp was built to address a gap in the original construction project, which was financed by the Guiriko Regional Council but did not include a connection between the imaging department and the operating theater.

El Hadj Adama Traore, committed to addressing this need, financed the ramp at an estimated cost of nearly five million CFA francs. The initiative is seen as a reflection of Traore's commitment to social responsibility and solidarity, supporting the health authorities' efforts for community well-being.

Dr. Evariste Idrissa Dakyo, chief medical officer of the Orodara health district, emphasized that the access ramp will enable the radiology department to become fully operational. This development is expected to enhance the quality of care and improve diagnostic capabilities for patients.

Emmanuel Konate, President of the Special Delegation of the Orodara municipality, commended the initiative, highlighting that it was not Traore's first contribution to social causes. He encouraged other citizens to contribute to the development of the local health sector.
