Kindi CEB Honors Retired Education Figures for Decades of Service

Kindi: The Kindi Basic Education District (CEB) celebrated on Wednesday the merits of two emblematic figures in education for their loyal service to the world of education. Mr. Emmanuel Koama and Mr. Christian Sompougdou have respectively 38 and 34 years of dedicated service. These "VDPs" (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland) of education were honored by their peers, authorities, and former students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, under the leadership of Inspector Sadou Yam©ogo, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), the educational community mobilized to express its gratitude to these two new retirees. Colleagues, friends, parents, and former students came together to transform this departure into a true celebration of educational excellence.

The series of speeches was opened by the head of personnel, Romuald Hema, who paid a strong tribute to the longevity and professionalism of the two recipients. The director of the Kindi Centre school, Albert Ou©draogo, then spoke on behalf of the teaching staff to praise the human and technical qualities of the "chosen ones of the day".

Emotions ran high with the intervention of Robert Godo, representative of the 1993 graduating class of School "C" in Boulsa. A former student of Mr. Sompougdou, he emphasized the impact his teachers had on the careers of many current government officials. "Not everything was easy during our years of study, but today we are proud of the progress we have made thanks to their rigor," he said.

Speaking at the event, CCEB member Sadou Yam©ogo commended the two colleagues for their work in mentoring several generations who have now become responsible citizens. He offered his best wishes for their health and success in their new lives, praying that this transition would be peaceful.

The ceremony concluded with a memorable standing ovation, followed by the presentation of numerous gifts. Messrs. Koama and Sompougdou now join the ranks of beneficiaries of the Autonomous Pension Fund for Civil Servants (CARFO) with honors, leaving a solid educational legacy for the next generation.
