K©n©dougou: Members of the Special Delegation of the urban commune of Orodara held their second ordinary session of the year on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, dedicated to examining several files relating to communal development. The proceedings were chaired by the First Vice-President of the Special Delegation, Sidiki Mathieu Traor©, representing the President. At the opening, Mr. Traor© commended the commitment of the local population, the decentralized state services, and the municipal staff for their efforts in developing the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, during the session, participants reviewed the 2025 management report of the Orodara Market Management Committee (COGEMAO). The report presented indicated that the committee recorded revenues of 4,231,250 FCFA against expenses of 3,207,150 FCFA, resulting in a surplus of 1,024,100 FCFA.
The members also took note of the COGEMAO's 2026 provisional budget, set at 5,285,100 FCFA in both revenue and expenditure. The report also noted several difficulties encountered in the operation of the market, including insufficient waste management equipment, a lack of parking spaces, difficulties in collecting rent from shops, and problems with rainwater runoff.
To improve market management conditions, the committee recommended the provision of a parking area and suitable rubbish bins.
