Koosin: A delegation led by the High Commissioner of Koosin Province, Noufo Dembele, was welcomed this Sunday, April 5, 2026, by officials of the International Center for Evangelization (CEI) for the Easter celebration. Pastor Emmanuel Zerbo began by thanking the traditional, customary, and military authorities for their distinguished presence.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Pastor Zerbo commended the authorities for their consideration of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME) and then focused his message on the importance of Easter. He emphasized that Easter is a time for remembrance and gratitude for the works God has accomplished for humanity.
The preacher stated that "Jesus, the Lamb of God, came to take away the sins of the world." He was crucified for the salvation of all before rising again on the third day, thus fulfilling his divine mission of reconciliation between God and humankind. "The resurrection of Jesus is a victory over death and a source of hope for all who believe in him," he affirmed.
The High Commissioner of Koosin Province, Noufo Dembele, praised the vitality of the Christian community. He then urged the faithful to persevere in prayer for peace and social cohesion, while expressing the hope that the blood of Christ would protect the forces engaged in the reconquest of the territory.
The celebration concluded with a collective prayer for Burkina Faso. Pastor Kinda, president of FEME, thanked the authorities for their presence.
