Koosin Business Operator Donates Cement for Manidara Bridge Rehabilitation

Koosin: A business operator donates 5 tons of cement for the rehabilitation of the Manidara bridge: The economic operator, Didier Konat, offered on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 05 tons of cement with the help of the population, for the construction of a bypass passage of the Manidara bridge in order to ensure continuity of traffic.

According to Burkina Information Agency, since the collapse of the Manidara bridge on July 31, 2025, users of this road have faced significant travel difficulties. To reach the weekly market in Djibasso, traders have had to use a bypass, access to which becomes particularly difficult during the rainy season, and have sought help from well-meaning individuals for the rehabilitation of the road.

Trader Didier Konat contributed to the initiative by providing more than 05 tonnes of cement since the start of the works. The coordinator of the local initiative, Sanmou’ui’b¨ Kinou, welcomed the donor’s support. “We sincerely thank Didier Konat for his gesture. It helps to relieve the population and facilitate traffic a little while waiting for a lasting solution,” he said.

The coordinator appealed to the relevant authorities to take this grievance into account. The rehabilitation of the road is essential for the revival of economic activities between Doumbala and Djibasso.
