Koosin High Commissioner Urges Civil Support for Municipal Police Mission

Nouna: The High Commissioner of the Koosin province, Noufo Dembel©, has called upon civil society to extend their support to municipal police officers in fulfilling their duties. This appeal was made during a solemn flag-raising ceremony at the National Electricity Company of Burkina Faso (SONABEL) in Nouna, attended by various civil society members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Cyril Kpoda, head of the SONABEL center, expressed gratitude to High Commissioner Noufo Dembel© for his unwavering support during operations beyond the boundaries of Nouna. He also lauded the efforts of the 53rd Commando Infantry Regiment (RIC) for their significant role in reclaiming national territory.

In his address, the High Commissioner shared a message from the President of Faso and President of the Confederation of Sahel States, Ibrahim Traor©, marking the second anniversary of the creation of the AES. He commended the dedication of the fighting forces in their mission to reclaim the confederate space.

Noufo Dembel© further urged the community to unify and respond effectively to threats against peace and social cohesion. He introduced newly assigned municipal police officers, assistant Djedjouma Ki©nou and police officer Henri Moukouro, emphasizing the necessity of community support for their success.

Concluding the ceremony, the High Commissioner extended his wishes for a prosperous rainy season to all the vital forces of the province.
