Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of Koosin Province, Noufo Dembl, inaugurated the mandatory patriotic immersion activities at Nouna Provincial High School, with the participation of key provincial figures. A total of 422 high school graduates are engaged in this initiative, aligned with President Captain Ibrahim Traor's directive for Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the participants include both successful baccalaureate graduates from the 2026 session and candidates who did not pass the previous session. The initiative aims to instill civic and patriotic values in the youth, with the expectation that these values will be shared with their communities after the program.

During the gathering in the "square of aces," participants engaged in the ceremonial raising of national colors, attended by administrative, military, traditional, and religious authorities. Fernand Badiel, the principal of the Nouna Provincial Polytechnic High School, and Emmanuel Coulibaly welcomed the participants, highlighting the success of the previous year's program.

High Commissioner Noufo Dembl emphasized the importance of the patriotic immersion program, inviting local stakeholders to support the initiative through financial contributions to the Public Treasury and in-kind donations at the reception site. The event featured the singing of the national anthem and a message from President Traor, who stressed the need for a robust response to the challenges faced by Burkina Faso.

President Traor's message underscored the importance of understanding geopolitics, the progressive revolution, and the nation's natural resources. He urged the youth to remain disciplined and patriotic, combating disinformation by seeking and disseminating verified information. The launch ceremony concluded with a tree-planting operation at the school.
