Ouagadougou: The Early Childhood Development and Preschool Education Center (CEEP) in Kabinou, part of the Basic Education District of Ramongo, received an official visit from a government mission on Tuesday, July 28. The delegation was led by Comrade Harouna Bouda, the head of monitoring and evaluation at the Prime Minister's Office. This visit is part of the broader government initiative to oversee and assess the progress of major educational projects under the Ministry of Basic Education.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the mission was warmly received by Naaba Saga of Kabinou, alongside members of the school council office, the CCEB representative, Inspector Sylvain S. Koussoub, the head of the preschool education office, Nadine Kabor/Lougu, and the director of CEEP, Aboubacar Par. A large crowd gathered to witness the event, showcasing the community's engagement and interest in the development of the educational center.
During the visit, the delegation inspected the infrastructure of the CEEP, which includes a building constructed with permanent materials. The facility comprises three classrooms, an office, a store, two toilet blocks, a kitchen, and a dining hall, all surrounded by a secure fence and equipped with a borehole. The government representatives expressed satisfaction with the quality of the construction work.
Naaba Saga, along with other officials, praised the new facility, expressing hopes that it would soon be fully equipped to ensure a successful 2026-2027 academic year. They highlighted some areas needing improvement, such as enhancing the facility's appeal and ensuring adequate equipment and staffing for quality education. Prior to the construction of the new building, the CEEP's three sections were confined to a single room, hindering effective supervision.
The CCEB representative emphasized the importance of adequate staffing and resources for the start of the next academic year to maintain high educational standards. Comrade Bouda and his team acknowledged the concerns raised and committed to conveying them to higher authorities to inform future educational developments.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing satisfaction and optimism for the future of the CEEP in Kabinou. The center stands as a testament to successful partnerships and governmental commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and opportunities.
