Koubri: The rotating monthly ceremony for raising the national colors took place on Monday at the Koubri Medical Center (CM), emphasizing patriotism, social cohesion, and the promotion of public service for the benefit of the community. Chaired by Samade Leonard Gougou, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality, the event was attended by constituted bodies, customary authorities, civil society, and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony involved the performance of the national anthem and the raising of the flag, with participants reaffirming their commitment to republican values and national unity. This comes at a time when there is a pressing need to strengthen solidarity and collective resilience. The PDS praised the healthcare staff of the medical center for their dedication and efforts in serving the community. Additionally, the administrative services, partners, and security forces were commended for their contributions to the stability and development of the municipality.

With International Women's Day approaching on March 8th, the PDS encouraged local actors to extend a special welcome to the occasion. He also urged everyone to demonstrate discipline, responsibility, and professionalism in their duties. Mr. Gougou conveyed his wishes for a good month of fasting to Muslim faithful and a good Lenten season to Christians, expressing hopes for peace and prosperity for Burkina Faso.

The ceremony concluded with a visit to the construction site of a new maternity building at the Medical Centre, where the progress was deemed satisfactory. The next raising of the colors is scheduled for the first Monday of April 2026, with further details to be communicated later.
