Koudougou: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC) of the Nando area (Boulkiemde) mobilized a large crowd on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Maurice Yameogo roundabout in Koudougou, with the aim of welcoming the historic decision of the Burkinabe government to break its diplomatic relations with France, formalized on June 26.

According to Burkina Information Agency, for the activists and supporters of the CNAVC, this action taken by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and his government marks a decisive turning point in the nation's history. "This June 26th will remain etched in our memories as the day Burkina Faso decided to stand tall, free, and dignified," declared the president of the CNAVC Boulkiemde/Nando, Comrade Alassane Zoubga.

The organizers state that this diplomatic break is a strategic necessity to put an end to what they call "imperial terrorism" and diplomatic manipulation aimed at destabilizing the country. They firmly reject any form of external control, stating unequivocally that Burkina Faso cannot be "a district of France" nor a state subject to the dictates of the European Union.

In a revolutionary communication imbued with patriotic fervor, the CNAVC reiterated its total commitment to supporting the sovereignist vision of the Head of State.

For the activists, it is a choice of survival and dignity in the face of maneuvers aimed at maintaining the country under domination. "We are a generation that refuses to live on its knees," insisted Comrade Zoubga before an audience won over to the cause of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR).

This mobilization in Koudougou follows the success of a recent regional live broadcast organized by the structure, which attracted delegations from Sabou, Thyou, Sourgou, Reo, and Ramongo.

CNAVC officials also took advantage of this platform to congratulate the people for their discipline and patriotic awareness.

At the close of this extraordinary event, the CNAVC called on the Sahelian and African peoples to remain united in this movement for self-determination. "Sovereignty or nothing" is now the rallying cry of these citizen watchdogs, determined to protect the country's resources and honor, under the motto: "Homeland or death, we will prevail!"
