Koupela: The Head of the Koupela II Basic Education District (CCEB), Bila Beno®t Segda, led the district's New Year's greetings ceremony on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Koupela. The event, centered on resilience and hard work, included the presence of the Provincial Director of Education for Kourittenga, Marcel Yogo, CCEBs from other districts, and teachers.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of the Koupela II Basic Education District, Bila Beno®t Segda, emphasized the tradition of gathering each year to exchange New Year's greetings. He highlighted that the ceremony serves as a platform for district stakeholders to discuss prospects for the effective operation of educational activities within the district.
The teaching staff expressed appreciation for the event, which facilitates opportunities for stakeholders within the district and from other parts of the province to meet, share ideas, discuss future plans, and strengthen educational ties. Bila Beno®t Segda encouraged staff and all involved in education to remain united with a focus on discipline and resilience.
Provincial Director Marcel Yogo acknowledged the commitment and determination of the teaching staff, applauding their selflessness for the benefit of the students. He noted the impressive 98% pass rate achieved by CEB II in recent exams and assured support to minimize the difficulties faced in their educational duties. Mr. Yogo extended wishes for a successful school year, health, resilience, and the return of peace to Burkina Faso.
