Kourittenga/Patriotic Commitment Days: The High Commissioner calls on students to live patriotism

The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, called on students on Thursday, October 10, 2024, to live patriotism, during the 2nd edition of the national day of patriotic commitment and citizen participation. The ceremony was marked by the raising of colors at the Kourita High School.It was with the national anthem in the Mooré language that the students of the Kourita high school raised the flag, as part of the national day of patriotic commitment and civic participation.The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, recalled the importance of raising the national colours in unison."The flag that we have just raised in unison characterizes the omnipresence and power of the State. You must be patriotic in everything you do and wherever you are," he declared.For him, the action that the Kourita high school has just taken shows that it remains standing and is committed to promoting the values ??of social cohesion and living together within it.The High Commis sioner wanted one of the high school students to read the message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, delivered on the occasion of the 2nd edition of the national day of patriotic commitment and civic participation."This raising of national colours is taking place on the sidelines of the second edition of the national day of patriotic commitment and citizen participation wanted by the Burkinabe government to revive the patriotic fibre and express the civic spirit. And on the occasion, the Head of State delivered a message to the Nation and would like that this morning, one of the high school students could pronounce the said message to his classmates", suggested Moctar Ilboudo.After reading, the High Commissioner urged the students to consider the words of the Head of State and above all to cultivate patriotism in their living environment.The national days of patriotic commitment and civic participation were launched on March 26, 2024 by the President of the Transition, Head of State, Ca ptain Ibrahim Traoré, over a period of fifteen (15) days to strengthen patriotic awareness and promote civic engagement.Source: Burkina Information Agency
