Kourittenga: The Yiir Sa Yan Association Launches Coaching Activities for Couples, Families and Parenting

Kourittenga: The Yiir Sa Yan Association launched its couple, family, and parenting coaching activities this Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Koup©la. Presided over by the High Commissioner of the Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, the ceremony was held under the theme: 'Free your emotions, heal your heart, transform your life.'

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aims to contribute sustainably to children's education and well-being through preventative and transformative work with couples, families, and in the area of parenting. The launch theme was developed by Zilou Sylvie Waongo/Sar©, a certified ethical coach specializing in couples, families, and parenting. In her presentation, she highlighted the importance of emotional management, inner healing, and personal transformation as essential levers for flourishing family relationships.

Dean Joachin Kabr© described the conference as beneficial because many people are unaware of these issues. 'They don't always know how to behave within the family. Young people must adopt a calm demeanor in order to build exemplary families. I especially encourage young people to reach out to this coach to lead healthy lives, so that we can build a peaceful Burkina Faso for tomorrow,' he declared.

The event was sponsored by the Queen, wife of Her Majesty Naaba Yemd© Kourit Yir-Souaba, and by the provincial coordinator for women in Kourittenga, Sandwidi Yamba Marie-Th©r¨se. The sponsors praised the initiative and encouraged its continuation for the benefit of families, while also expressing their willingness to support the coach.

Yamba Marie-Th©r¨se Sandwidi shared her experience of the emotional realities faced by many women. 'I've seen women lead ministries with firmness but cry in secret at night. I've seen courageous mothers carry the world on their shoulders while forgetting that they themselves needed to be carried. We were raised to be strong women, pillars of strength, but by being a pillar, we sometimes end up cracking inside. My sisters, my daughters, don't suffer in silence any longer. Releasing your emotions is not a weakness, it's an act of social courage. A healed woman is a woman capable of transforming her environment,' she affirmed.

For the initiating coach, the launch's objectives were achieved, given the strong turnout and interest shown by the participants. 'The goal was to introduce myself to the public and say that I am available to support families at all levels. The knowledge I have received, I cannot keep it to myself. Sharing it is a duty,' explained Coach Waongo. Justifying the choice of theme, she indicated that managing emotions is a major issue today. 'Many people regret their actions but don't know how to overcome anger or sadness. Releasing emotions is for one's health, for oneself, but also to avoid passing on one's wounds to one's children. A child cannot heal without addressing their family environment,' she asserted, adding that she was available to support legally constituted associations and organizations.

The High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, welcomed the introduction of family coaching in the province. 'Today, it is difficult to have fluid communication in society without support. Having a coach in this field is a boon for Kourittenga. I encourage everyone to seize this opportunity for the well-being of our families,' he concluded.
