The High Commissioner of the Kourweogo province, Siaka Barro, chaired the monthly ceremony of the collective raising of the national flag on Tuesday March 5, 2024 in Toéghin, Kourweogo province. On the sidelines of this event, the constituent bodies of the Kourwéogo province exchanged with the active forces around issues related to the socio-economic development of the municipality.The square of the prefecture of the commune of Toéghin welcomed this Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the provincial delegation of Kourwéogo led by the High Commissioner of the province of Kourweogo, Siaka Barro, for the collective ceremonial of honor in national colors.After the raising of colors, the High Commissioner addressed the representatives of the different social strata of the commune of Toéghin.He urged local citizens to keep the torch of the homeland high and promote social cohesion.To the school youth, he reminded that they are the future of the nation. As such, they have a duty to succeed in their studies through disci pline, class attendance and respect for parents and teachers.The first official of the province also praised the sacrifices made on a daily basis by the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), in the fight for the security and reconquest of the territory.Siaka Barro called for unity and support for the transitional government in its actions to restore peace and national dignity.The participants, while welcoming the opportunity for this direct dialogue with the authority, outlined various concerns including the cereal deficit, access to drinking water, the lack of water retention and the insufficiency of educational staff.They also cited the security of school areas, the lack of equipment and administrative infrastructure and the difficulties linked to the operation of the municipality's ambulance.In response to the problems thus listed, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Toéghin, Aïcha Traoré/Démé, with the heads of the pro vincial directorates, informed the audience of the measures taken by the State and its partners in the direction of resolution of these questions.The High Commissioner of the Kourweogo province congratulated the people of Toéghin for their spirit of initiative.He also encouraged them to strengthen awareness-raising actions aimed at young people in order to fight against social deviance.Source: Burkina Information Agency
