Ouagadougou: The “La Sorbonne” support course has made a significant contribution to the Faso Mªbo presidential initiative by donating 100 food kits and 30 packs of water to the workers at the site. This charitable gesture occurred during the inaugural edition of their 48-hour event, themed “Excellence is celebrated, the future is built,” on Friday, July 24, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation symbolizes the commitment of “La Sorbonne” and its latest graduates to the development of their nation. Eric Ilboudo, the head of the support course, expressed that the initiative is an effort to invoke blessings for their homeland while celebrating the commencement of their event. This act of civic duty is intended to support the workers involved in the Faso Mªbo project.

Mr. Ilboudo further elaborated on the event’s agenda, stating that the second day will feature a sports session aimed at fostering social cohesion. Additionally, panels and guidance sessions led by professionals will assist recent high school graduates in navigating entrepreneurship and academic pathways.

The event will conclude with an evening of excellence, where notable high school graduates who have been supported by the structure will be recognized for their achievements. Established in 2022 by a group of young individuals, the “La Sorbonne” support course strives to aid students in exam preparation and success.
