Ouagadougou: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo expressed satisfaction with the results achieved at the halfway point in the execution of the performance contracts of the members of the Government, while inviting them to accelerate the pace and to better communicate on the achievements made for the benefit of the people.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister indicated that at the end of two days of work devoted to the evaluation of the performance contracts to June 30, 2026, the average rate of physical execution stands at 55.16%, a level which he considers encouraging for the achievement of the annual objectives. “But beyond the numbers, we are much more attached to concrete achievements and, above all, to their impact on our fellow citizens,” he stated.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the results are already translating into progress in several priority sectors. He specifically cited the security sector, where the rate of recapture of national territory has reached 74.53%, facilitating the return of more than 150,000 internally displaced persons to their localities since the previous assessment.
Progress was also noted in sectors such as agriculture, health, education, domestic revenue mobilization, and the construction of infrastructure aimed at improving the living conditions of the population. While welcoming these performances, the Head of Government urged the ministers to maintain the momentum, to remove the identified constraints, and to accelerate the implementation of the actions planned for the second half of the year.
‘Ministers have been asked to communicate more, because many things are being achieved, some of which are unprecedented in the history of Burkina Faso. The people must be informed of these great achievements, which are the result of the commitment and labor of the entire Burkinab¨ people,’ he emphasized.
The Prime Minister finally reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to pursue reforms, intensify efforts, and ensure rigorous monitoring of programmed actions in order to achieve the objectives set for the year 2026, in accordance with the guidelines of the President of Faso.
