Koubri:Kadiogo/Koubri: An information and exchange meeting on land mobilization for a modern toll project was held at the new Koubri town hall.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the assembly, chaired by Samad Lonard Gougou, President of the Special Delegation of Koubri, aimed to inform those affected by the land operation for the development of modern road toll infrastructure on the Ouagadougou-Koubri-P´ axis, known as National Route No. 5 (RN5).

The land in question covers 11 hectares, 39 ares, and 61 centiares in the Koubri-Natenga area, marked by red paint, south of the checkpoint of the Republican Security Company. The meeting addressed securing the land and preparing for the assessment and enforcement of the rights of affected persons.

Comrade Gougou explained that a land and parcel survey is underway as part of the project's preliminary steps. Participants welcomed the infrastructure project but expressed concerns about the timeline for clearing the affected areas and compensation procedures.

The PDS assured attendees that more information would be provided soon as the process continues. The registration of affected persons' files will proceed on September 22 and 23, 2026, with land and field surveys scheduled for September 24-25, 2026.

The meeting concluded with gratitude expressed to the participants for their engagement and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and collaboration to facilitate the project's implementation. Participants were encouraged to maintain communication to ensure successful land transactions and project completion.
