Koubri:Kadiogo: Following information received on the evening of September 16, 2026, concerning the Gons crossing bridge, the president of the special delegation of Koubri, Comrade Samad Lonard Gougou, visited the site on September 17, 2026, to evaluate the situation and implement necessary measures.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the mission involved the PDS, the first vice-president Comrade Sibiri Compaor, and members of the municipal technical department. Their goal was to assess the conditions at the site and decide on steps to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow.

The PDS informed the Kadiogo Regional Directorate of Construction and enlisted the support of a local company. The company promptly began constructing bypass roads at the bridge to facilitate user passage and daily activities despite the bridge's condition.

The municipal authority observed strong community mobilization and civic engagement, highlighting the significance of solidarity in addressing local issues.

Comrade Gougou expressed appreciation for the company's swift response and the community's involvement, underscoring the importance of collective action among local authorities, economic stakeholders, and residents in tackling communal challenges.

The mission assessed the situation and observed initial efforts to maintain traffic flow. The PDS plans to continue coordination with technical services to monitor the situation at the Gons bridge.

The construction of parallel lanes currently provides temporary relief for bridge users.
