Ouagadougou: The third edition of the Leer© Comedy Festival, organized from March 27 to 29, 2026, in Zabr© by the Leer© Gninon Leer association, concluded with widespread satisfaction among festival-goers. The event, themed "Through laughter and humor, let's mobilize our communities for lasting peace," turned Zabr©'s Place de la Nation into a center of entertainment and social unity over three days.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival was held under the honorary presidency of the canton chief of Zabr©, Naaba Kougri, and was supported by the prefect, president of the special delegation of Zabr©, Alain Boubi© Bassono. Additional sponsorship came from His Majesty Kiir Ye Ni Zerim, head of the Burkinabe community of II Plateaux/Cocody of Abidjan, and artistic sponsorship was provided by Burkinabe actress Augusta Bomsoya Palenfo.

At the opening ceremony, Harouna Gouba, the representative of the canton chief, relayed the chief's support and urged attendees to participate actively. He emphasized that enjoying the shows was crucial for the festival's success and sustainability. Event promoter Pascal Pardara Zinsonni highlighted laughter as a universal language and a tool for peace, aiming to establish Zabr© as the laughter capital of the Nakamb© region.

Zebado Yabr©, representing the sponsor, praised the festival's theme for promoting social cohesion. He noted the importance of humor and laughter as coping mechanisms in a stressful world and encouraged everyone to embrace humor and self-reflection.

Throughout the festival, comedians such as Welvy la R©f©rence, La Jaguar, Djo le Rapide, JP la Joie, Nonta, and Sergine delighted audiences. Musical performances from local and regional artists enriched the event, offering a diverse array of entertainment, including comedy, music, storytelling, games, and cultural experiences.

Participants felt that the festival fulfilled its promises, creating an atmosphere of laughter and community engagement.
