Bobo-dioulasso: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo visited the L©gu©ma stadium construction site in Bobo-Dioulasso on Sunday morning. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work, which is over 90% complete for the stadium's playing surface.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo highlighted the progress made on the L©gu©ma stadium project. The head of government spoke at the end of his visit to the stadium under construction in the village of L©gu©ma, located about fifteen kilometers from Bobo-Dioulasso. He acknowledged that related projects and ancillary infrastructure are still necessary to ensure the full functionality of the stadium.
Despite the advanced stage of construction, Prime Minister Ou©draogo emphasized that challenges remain, particularly with the onset of the rainy season. He reminded the public of the strategic importance of the L©gu©ma stadium, noting that currently, Burkina Faso relies primarily on the August 4th stadium for hosting international matches and competitions.
The completion of the new stadium aligns with the vision of Comrade President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, who aims to develop sports as a sector contributing to the country's development. The L©gu©ma stadium is part of a broader initiative to create a sports industry in Burkina Faso, providing youth with opportunities to showcase their sporting talents.
Prime Minister Ou©draogo urged the construction teams to intensify their efforts to ensure the timely completion and inauguration of the stadium. He expressed hope that the infrastructure will soon be ready for use, aligning with the high guidelines set by President Traor©.
