Komsilga:Local stakeholders gathered at Komsilga town hall on September 30, 2026, to discuss various development initiatives for the municipality. The meeting was chaired by Antarest Batiana, President of the special delegation, and included members of the special delegation, presidents of Village Development Councils (VDCs), customary chiefs, and local association leaders.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting addressed four main topics: reviewing the Municipal Development Plan (PCD), organizing the 2026 School Excellence Day, preparing for the Night of the Revolution for the Progress of the People (RPP) at Revolution Square, and miscellaneous issues. Participants assessed the progress of the PCD and discussed future prospects.
The assembly also focused on the upcoming 2026 School Excellence Day, which aims to recognize outstanding students and teachers, thereby promoting educational excellence within the municipality.
Organizational plans for the Night of the RPP, intended to enhance civic engagement and patriotic commitment, were another key agenda item.
A significant concern raised during the meeting was the recurring issue of newborn abandonment in Komsilga. Antarest Batiana urged traditional chiefs, VDCs, and associations to increase awareness efforts among families to curb this practice.
Batiana commended the high level of stakeholder participation and encouraged them to continue serving as active conduits of information to support the municipality's development objectives.
