Ouagadougou: Local stakeholders are mobilizing to prepare the patriotic immersion site for new high school graduates. The active forces of the commune of Koubri mobilized strongly on Thursday, July 23, 2026, to clean up and improve the infrastructure of the Koubri Girls’ High School (LJFK), chosen as the site for the mandatory patriotic immersion of new high school graduates.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this mobilization follows an information, consultation, and planning meeting chaired on Monday, July 20th, by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Koubri municipality, Comrade Samad© L©onard Gougou. Its objective was to inform key stakeholders of the choice of the LJFK (Lyc©e Jean-Fran§ois Kaufmann) to host this national initiative and to gather their support in order to anticipate the challenges related to welcoming future residents.
During the discussions, several priority needs were identified. These included clearing the drainage ditches, repairing the access road to the facility, supporting market gardeners with condiments to supplement the residents’ diet, and providing solar or electric lamps to improve lighting on the site.
No sooner had the call been made than community watch groups, supported by the local population, pledged to contribute. On Thursday, July 23, a large number of them gathered at the Koubri Girls’ High School where they cleared the drainage ditches and filled in the access road to the school.
Equipped with shovels, picks, wheelbarrows, and other tools, the volunteers worked for several hours to improve access and sanitation conditions at the site intended to host new high school graduates as part of their patriotic immersion.
For the participants, this initiative reflects their desire to support the actions undertaken by the authorities in favor of youth and to contribute to the success of this important national activity.
This strong mobilization also highlights the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, and civic responsibility that characterizes the people of Koubri. It demonstrates the ability of the community’s vital forces to unite their efforts around major national priorities and to transform commitments into concrete actions for the benefit of the common good.
Through this community action, the inhabitants of Koubri reaffirm their willingness to support development initiatives and to offer a suitable reception environment for the new high school graduates called upon to take part in this patriotic immersion, a symbol of civic duty, commitment, and service to the Nation.
