Loroum: The High Commissioner of the province of Loroum, Captain Djibril Bassol©, reminded, on Tuesday, April 2, 2025, the students of the provincial high school of Loroum, of civics and citizenship, during the national days of patriotic commitment and civic participation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event commenced with a flag-raising ceremony at the provincial high school, marking the launch of the first fortnight of the second edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation. Captain Bassol© emphasized the importance of these days by reading a message from the President of Faso, urging the populace to adhere to governmental guidance and actively participate in its execution.
Community leaders and educators echoed the significance of the initiative. Aminata Kagon©, the Titao women's community coordinator, expressed her approval of the initiative, noting its role in educating young people. "I'm pleased that the session helped remind students of good behavior," said Ms. Kagon©. She also supported the regulation of hairstyles for students, highlighting its potential to reduce parental expenses and promote equality among students.
Student representative Abdoul Rasman© Zango underscored the relevance of the guidance provided during the event. "If we want to be worthy Burkinabe, we must follow the advice we are given every day. We are committed to relaying this message to our comrades and working to respect the spirit of these national days," she stated.
The provincial director in charge of secondary education, Souleymane Ouermi, reiterated the approved hairstyles for schools, aligning with the day's theme of order and discipline. Captain Bassol© also outlined the program for the days and encouraged stakeholders to support the initiative. The theme for the event, "For order and discipline, I commit myself," reflects the national drive for civic engagement and responsibility among the youth.
This fortnight-long event, initiated by the President of Faso, spans from March 26 to April 9, 2025, and is being observed nationwide.
