Loroum: The Council of Ministers, in its ordinary session on Thursday, January 29, 2026, decreed the dissolution of political parties and the transfer of their assets to the State. Residents of Titao welcomed the measure.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Amade Younga, known as Gess, perceives the measure to return the assets of political parties as beneficial. Oumarou Kagone expressed his approval of the decision, emphasizing the desire for political parties not to return to the national stage.

Boukary Kagone, known as Sabata, considers the decision logical, pointing out that dissolving political parties without reclaiming their assets would be superficial. He stressed the importance of committing solely to national causes rather than personal interests. Kagone highlighted that a political party is akin to an association, with assets that do not belong to any individual, and explained that the measure would distinguish honest individuals from others.

Flavien Tapsoba believes this initiative will provide the state with additional resources. Sidiki Kindo noted that returning political party resources to the state would benefit everyone, as it prevents monopolization of assets by a few individuals. Kindo suggested that logistics could be allocated to volunteers for national defense, further emphasizing public benefit.
