Mogtedo: The Town Hall Celebrates Academic Excellence

Mogtedo: The Mogtedo town hall organized a ceremony on Saturday, January 31, 2026, to celebrate academic excellence. The initiative, led by the Special Municipal Delegation, aimed to reward the best performance of the past academic year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the school year saw an overall success rate of 89.19%. This result is attributed to the efforts of students, teachers, and educational advisors.

The ceremony recognized outstanding students, teachers, and advisors. A total of 83 awards were presented. Top-performing students in the primary school leaving certificate exam received school supplies, bicycles, and cash gifts. Teachers received, among other things, certificates of merit, briefcases, tablets, and mobile phones. Certificates of recognition were also awarded to individuals and organizations that support education.

The CEB's "Super Teacher" award was given to Ms. Sophie Simpore, a teacher at Mogtedo B School. Of the 83 students who took the 2025 CEP exam, 82 passed, representing a 98.80% success rate. She received a motorcycle, a briefcase, a tablet, and a cash prize.

Through this ceremony, the local authorities aimed to promote a culture of excellence and encourage those involved in the local education system, with the goal of improving academic results in the municipality.
