Loroum: As part of the implementation of the Community Project for Recovery and Stabilization in the Sahel (PCRSS), the Rural World Association (AMR), facilitator of the project, undertook from Monday, January 26 to Sunday, February 1, 2026, the training of 30 young people from the commune of Ouindigui in solar energy. All residents of the Ouindigui commune, the 30 young people who received training were given kits for installing and repairing solar equipment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Bassia Ozona, a rural development specialist at the Rural World Association (AMR), stated that this large-scale campaign aims to reintegrate young people into the workforce. He encouraged the participants to fully commit to achieving the objectives. "We expect a lot from them because the training combines theory and practice," the specialist stated.
Marc T. Niampa, a training participant, expressed confidence in the knowledge he acquired. "The training meets the needs of today's youth. We are also ready to share what we have learned with those around us," he said.
Since its implementation, this project has carried out a range of activities in the community, benefiting all segments of society. According to Souleymane Gandema, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Ouindigui municipality, the PCRSS project has addressed numerous requests from displaced populations in Ouindigui. He encouraged residents to invest in job creation and urged young people to work, as these achievements lay the foundation for future employment.
The PCRSS project has been operating in Ouindigui since 2023. Its activities have contributed to strengthening the resilience and recovery of populations severely impacted by the humanitarian and security crisis.
