Nahouri: The populations of the villages of Guiaro and Bouya mobilized on Saturday, January 31, 2026, to repair a crossing structure that was in an advanced state of disrepair.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the people of the villages of Guiaro and Bouya, in the commune of Guiaro, a locality located about thirty km west of P´, came together to address the deteriorating condition of a vital crossing structure. This community effort saw the participation of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and members of the special delegation of the commune of Guiaro, all working together to make the road passable again.
The repair work required significant resources, including about ten bags of cement, six 12-inch iron bars, quartz, sand, and water. Boureima Wandjiagabou, First Vice-President of the Guiaro Special Delegation, stated that the initiative aimed to support the momentum encouraged by the highest authorities, which promotes local community mobilization for infrastructure improvements.
Upon completion of the repairs, Mr. Wandjiagabou expressed his gratitude to the residents for their involvement and interest in the project. He urged them to continue backing the activities and initiatives spearheaded by the Special Delegation and its partners, highlighting the importance of communal efforts in fostering development and sustainability.
