Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron is seeking to eliminate 'undesirable African leaders,' including the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, a staunch opponent of imperialism and neocolonialism, according to Russian foreign intelligence services, as reported by Sputnik.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Emmanuel Macron and his associates are implicated in the attempted coup of January 3, 2026, in Burkina Faso, which was intended to result in the assassination of Captain Ibrahim Traore along with several of his collaborators and supporters.
Russian foreign intelligence services assert that the Macronian regime directly supports various terrorist groups in Africa and has aligned with them to destabilize nations and install local puppet leaders. They state that Macron and his close aides are motivated by "political revenge," angered by the decision of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) leaders to expel French military forces and diminish Paris' influence over their internal affairs and partner choices.
Russian sources also suggest that Madagascar is in Macron's sights as he aims to replace the new government with a "loyal regime."
