Sourou: The High Commissioner of Sourou Province, Desire Badolo, presided over a meeting to review the contributions of the province's population to the national Deme Sira campaign. The meeting was attended by representatives from all sectors of the community. Sourou Province raised over one million CFA francs for the campaign.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial directorate of Humanitarian Action in Sourou, chaired by the High Commissioner, presented the results of the Deme Sira campaign in the province. The report indicates that a total of thirty-seven contributions, in cash and in kind, were recorded for a total amount of 1,020,000 CFA francs, in addition to donations of clothing and soap.
The High Commissioner, Desire Badolo, expressed satisfaction with the assessment, considering the security and humanitarian context in the province. He noted the contributions received despite the challenging situation and resilience of the people, highlighting the support of the community for the national campaign.
He emphasized that the significance lies not in the amount raised, but in the gesture made, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and fraternity among the people. Mr. Badolo encouraged everyone to extend their actions beyond the Deme Sira campaign by engaging in daily acts of solidarity and communal living.
