Kourittenga: The Minister of Health, Dr. Robert Lucien Kargougou, launched the vaccination campaign against malaria at the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of Ramessim, in the commune of Pouytenga, in the presence of regional and provincial authorities of the Nakamb© region and health professionals.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of the malaria vaccination campaign in Pouytenga is part of national efforts to combat this disease. More than 7 billion CFA francs have been mobilized for this vaccination program aimed at reducing cases of malaria, particularly among children.
"For this campaign, a little over 627,000 children are affected by the scale-up with this vaccine and I would also like to reassure the population that this is the vaccine that is safe and effective," said the Minister of Health. He also asked that all stakeholders combine their efforts to ensure that this large-scale vaccination campaign against malaria is truly a success.
