Ouagadougou: The governor of the Nando region, Comrade Adama Jean-Yves B©r©, accompanied by the regional director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, along with several administrative and technical authorities, visited Koudougou to inspect the first food supplies intended for the conscripts of the Compulsory Patriotic Immersion (AIPO) 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the food supplies, stored in a city warehouse, include sweetened condensed milk, bottled water, macaroni, Nescaf©, cooking oil, salt, and tomato paste, destined for the Koudougou and R©o basins. The geographically isolated L©o basin was supplied directly.

At the end of the visit, Governor Adama Jean-Yves B©r© expressed satisfaction with the timely receipt of the food supplies, acknowledging that the Government had learned from the previous edition by taking necessary measures to prevent any catering issues for the conscripts. He stated, “We are delighted that the Government has taken the lead. We received the food supplies in sufficient time so that there will be no problem with the restoration within the basins.”

The governor highlighted that the Nando region consists of three immersion basins: Koudougou, R©o, and L©o. The received supplies are intended to meet the initial nutritional needs of the conscripts while awaiting further shipments of cereals, particularly rice, and other supplementary foodstuffs.

Governor B©r© emphasized that this field visit underscores the regional authorities’ commitment to closely monitoring the food reception and storage process to avoid a repeat of last year’s difficulties. He personally checked the product quality and expiration dates with the managers, ensuring that the received products met consumer standards and had undergone necessary checks upon arrival in Ouagadougou.

Finally, Comrade Adama Jean-Yves B©r© encouraged future conscripts to approach the immersion with serenity, assuring them of adequate preparations for 2026 in the Nando region.
