Media: Alain Foka will leave RFI at the end of October

Ouagadougou, Cameroonian journalist Alain Foka, who has been working for around thirty years at Radio France Internationale (RFI), plans to leave the media at the end of October 2023, the AIB learned on Tuesday.

“I decided and chose to leave the RFI at the end of this month of October 2023. It has been an enriching experience. I thank you for your broad support since during all these years these meetings have always been among the more followed by the Radio France Internationale antenna,” declared Alain Foka on Tuesday morning on his YouTube channel (Alain Foka Officiel, 693 thousand subscribers).

The journalist also indicated that he will continue to offer his fan base the African narrative on his digital platforms.

“The story of hunting must stop being told solely from the hunter's point of view. Africa needs its soft power tool more than ever to make its reading, its vision of the world heard and to make its voice better heard,” added Alain Foka.

The one who has worked at RFI since 1994, also announced the coming months, “a big surprise”, in favor of greater popularization of the African vision in a world in profound change.
