Sebba:The health district in Sebba organized the third stage of the National Vector Control Day, focusing on destroying larval breeding sites with significant community involvement.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was part of ongoing efforts that began on August 18 and September 7, 2026. The operations targeted schools and main roads, where participants, including young people, women, the elderly, and security forces, worked to clean and eliminate mosquito breeding grounds.
Amadou Boureima Bokoum, the first vice-president of the special delegation of the commune of Sebba, expressed gratitude for the community's involvement. He highlighted the importance of unity and continued efforts in these operations and acknowledged the contributions of volunteers and security personnel.
Health officials expressed satisfaction with the turnout but emphasized the need for ongoing vigilance. They urged the public to remove potential mosquito breeding sites in and around homes to help prevent vector-borne diseases.
