Mouhoun/Burkina Faso Motorcycle Tour: Bikers Support Potters with a Donation of 200,000 FCFA

Ouagadougou: The town of Tcheriba hosted the "Motorcyclists of Faso" on Friday, November 14, 2025, as part of the Burkina Faso Motorcycle Tour. This initiative aims to promote a positive image of the country while showcasing its cultural heritage. The visitors expressed their solidarity with local potters through a financial contribution of 200,000 CFA francs.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the caravan of motorcyclists returning from Dedougou for the 5th stage and heading to Koudougou was welcomed by the authorities of the commune and then taken to the famous potters, who are a cultural heritage and major attraction of Tcheriba.

The First Vice-President of the special delegation, Dissa Aboubacar Leopold, highlighted the significance of the visit, noting its contribution to strengthening national resilience. He emphasized how the tour contradicts reports portraying the country as uninhabitable or dominated by terrorism.

On behalf of the potters, Mariam Go expressed deep appreciation for the visitors, acknowledging the honor of their presence and the encouragement it represents for their work. She noted that such support demonstrates the impact of their craftsmanship.

Representatives of the motorcyclists congratulated the women and the communities of Tcheriba for their fortitude. They also sought blessings from traditional and religious authorities for their continued journey and encouraged the population to support the authorities in combating terrorism.

In a gesture of hospitality, the potters presented gifts to the bikers, who reciprocated by making purchases and offering a sum of 200,000 FCFA as a show of solidarity and encouragement.

After engaging in photo sessions with locals who admired the motorcycles, the bikers continued their journey to Koudougou, the next stop on their Burkina Faso Tour.
