D©dougou: The High Commissioner of Mouhoun Province, Bassoulemane Ouattara, presided over the Burkina Faso School and University Sports Union (USSU-BF) competitions in Mouhoun Province. The event, held in D©dougou, saw a significant turnout from the education and sports communities. In the opening match, D©dougou Provincial High School emerged victorious over CEG Appel Samuso with a score of 3 goals to 1.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch of activities featured a parade of 13 participating teams, highlighting the keen interest of schools in sporting activities and the USSU-BF competitions. The provincial director responsible for Sports in Mouhoun, Wind-Nongmaguen©r© Yam©ogo, commended the high level of participation and urged the young athletes to exhibit discipline, sportsmanship, and fair play throughout the tournament.
The official commencement of the competitions was announced by High Commissioner Bassoulemane Ouattara, alongside the regional director in charge of Sports and the provincial director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training. The opening match set the stage for a series of sporting events aimed at encouraging sports engagement among students in schools and universities across the Mouhoun province.
