Mouhoun/Raising of the Colors: PDS Member Ali Traore Calls for Patriotism and the Strengthening of National Unity

Mouhoun: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Safane, Ali Traore, presided over the national flag-raising ceremony at Nounou High School, attended by administrative and traditional authorities, along with key figures from the local community. He urged the population to demonstrate their loyalty to the nation through concrete acts of civic responsibility and patriotism.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the chief of the village of Nounou, Boulaye Geneme, expressed his gratitude to the authorities for selecting his locality for the ceremony of raising the national colors. He commended the strong mobilization of the population and expressed hope that such initiatives, which promote social cohesion, would continue.

The canton chief of Safane, Dr. Sina Sere, invited the people to cultivate national unity and strengthen communal living. He encouraged citizens to embrace the symbols of the nation, beyond community considerations, while offering his support to students and congratulating the teaching staff for their dedication to education.

The principal of Nounou High School, Wourobe Lucien Konate, highlighted the establishment's journey since its inception in 2012, currently educating 441 students. He expressed gratitude to the authorities for selecting his school but noted challenges such as staff shortages and insufficient financial resources, calling for increased support.

Ali Traore emphasized the importance of promoting local product consumption, in alignment with national guidelines, and praised the high school's initiative of students wearing traditional clothing. He called on citizens to support the actions of the authorities and demonstrate a strong commitment to addressing current challenges.

Traore also reminded everyone that participating in flag-raising ceremonies exemplifies civic duty. He encouraged the population to prepare for the recruitment of reservists, as part of the national effort for citizen mobilization.

The ceremony included the celebration of the second edition of Student Teacher Recognition Week, themed "My Teacher, Pillar of My Future and My Values." Three individuals received certificates of appreciation for their contributions to the educational community.
