The Secretary General of the Province of Mouhoun, Boureima Ouédraogo proceeded on Thursday July 27, 2023 in Tcheriba to the official installation of Ousseni Logora in his functions of Prefect of the department and President of the Communal Delegation of Cheriba.

Appointed to the Council of Ministers at its meeting of July 19, 2023, Ousseni Logora, Lieutenant of Police, now presides over the destinies of the department of Tcheriba, in the province of Mouhoun.

Indeed, after the tragic death of his predecessor on May 8, 2023, the department of Tcheriba was administered by the prefect of Safané who acted as interim until the appointment of Mr. Ousseni Logora as head of the department.

On receiving the post of Prefect of Tcheriba Department, Ousseni Logora said he measured the importance of the responsibilities entrusted to him.

He therefore promised to assume with humility, dedication and determination the responsibilities for the well-being of the department and therefore of the municipality of which he is the PDS.

Tcheriba is located on the Dédougou-Koudougou axis on National Road 14, 45 km from Dédougou, capital of the Boucle du Mouhoun region.

Renowned for its pottery which attracts more than one passer-by, the department of Tcheriba is special with the variety of pottery art objects made by the women gathered in association. There are decorative objects, kitchen utensils, canaries, cups, flower pots, ….

This pottery activity has been carried out by women for years and is a source of income and the fight against poverty.
