MPAP Announces 6th Edition of Peace Ambassadors Awards in Boussouma

Ouagadougou: The Movement for the Culture of Peace and Love of the Homeland (MPAP) announced on Saturday in Boussouma the holding of the 6th edition of the Ambassadors of Peace Awards (APA 2026), scheduled for July 30 and 31, under the theme: "Facing security challenges, love of the homeland as a force of unity and social cohesion."

According to Burkina Information Agency, Boussouma was chosen to host this conference because of its attachment to traditional values and its symbolism of unity. Speaking to the press, Paul Marie Zoma, president of the MPAP, indicated that this edition aims to promote patriotism, social cohesion, and dialogue as responses to the security challenges facing Burkina Faso. "This edition is intended as a citizen-led response to the security challenges," he stated.

For Amado Soudr, president of the organizing committee, the edition will be marked by panels, exchanges and awards honoring actors committed to peace and living together. The organizers called on the media to support this initiative by relaying "messages of peace, social cohesion, solidarity, patriotism and hope" to contribute to "a more resilient and fraternal Burkina Faso".

On the sidelines of this conference, the organizers paid a courtesy visit to His Majesty Naaba Sigri, Dima of Boussouma, patron of the publishing house.
