Ouagadougou: The new Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Burkina Faso Maurice Azonnankpo, presented this Monday in Ouagadougou, his Cabinet Letters, to Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad.On the occasion he expressed his gratitude to the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs and to all the Burkinabè authorities, for having accepted his accreditation to the countries of Men of Integrity.He says he places his mandate under the sign of commitment and collaboration with the Burkinabe authorities, in order to meet the challenges in terms of managing refugees settled on Burkinabe soil, especially in this particularly difficult context.The head of Burkinabe diplomacy, while congratulating the new UNHCR representative, wished him every success in his mission, and reassured him of the availability of the Department of Foreign Affairs to support him in the success of this mission.According to Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, given the background and technical and professional skills of Maurice Azonnankpo, the management of refugees in Burkina Faso will experience tangible results under his mandate.The Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs took the opportunity to salute the United Nations System as a whole, for its interventions which are carried out in Burkina Faso through concordant approaches, and which make it possible to obtain satisfactory results on the ground.Source: Burkina Information Agency
