Johannesburg: The municipal financial services have reached an agreement with local farmers and livestock traders to strengthen local resources.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the financial services of the municipality organized a meeting in the reception hall on Saturday, August 22, to engage with women who sell local meat and livestock traders. The purpose was to encourage them to contribute to the strengthening of local resources.
The meeting was presided over by the municipal treasurer, Rosine Nadembga (Kadba), with assistance from Sabine Zoma and the representative of the CVD, Pierre Sompougdou. This was the second gathering of its kind, aiming to clarify the monthly financial contribution of 1,000 FCFA required from each doloti¨re in the commune.
Participants expressed their complete support for this initiative after discussions and responses to their concerns. To ensure effective monitoring, douard Koama was appointed as a special collector to conduct field visits.
For livestock traders, the tax collector announced their relocation to a new 6,000 square meter site by September 2026. This site is developed to offer a secure environment for their activities, preventing theft and restricting livestock sales to the designated area.
Additionally, traders were informed that the new tax structures applicable to them would be communicated soon. The session concluded with general satisfaction, having addressed all stakeholder concerns.
