Bittou:Musician and dancer Esther Lankoand©, known as ESthiLL, called on the people of Burkina Faso to support the Faso Mªbo initiative with a song performed in the Gourmantch© language during an event in Bittou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Esther Lankoand©, originally from Fada N'Gourma in the Gulmu region, delivered a captivating performance at the closing ceremony of the Bittou Health District's Days of Excellence. Her blend of traditional music, dance, and song in the Gourmantch© language engaged the audience deeply.
Through her song "Faso Mªbo," Lankoand© encourages Burkinabe citizens to embrace the initiative, which she views as vital for enhancing and developing their cities. She expressed her admiration for the project, stating, "Faso Mªbo is an initiative I love because it helps make our cities beautiful. It's truly a development project."
In addition to promoting Faso Mªbo, Lankoand©'s work tackles social issues such as incivility, the neglect of women, and community insecurity. Her passion for traditional music and dance stems from her childhood, inspired by her mother, a celebrated dancer in their region.
Lankoand© also announced the upcoming release of her second album, aiming to continue promoting Burkinabe culture and languages through her music while advocating for civic responsibility, social unity, and the country's development.
