Koubri:Kadiogo/Koubri The canton chief of Koubri, His Majesty Naaba Kangr©, marked four decades of leadership with a celebratory event held over the weekend. Activities focused on themes of recognition, solidarity, and conviviality.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Naaba Kangr© expressed gratitude to God, his ancestors, and the community for supporting his 40-year reign. He thanked village chiefs and residents for their tributes and highlighted the importance of unity during challenging times.

The canton chief also addressed young people, urging them to avoid drugs and the lure of easy money. He encouraged them to preserve their inherited lands for future generations. The celebrations attracted a large crowd, including administrative officials, traditional leaders, and various community members.

Samad© L©onard Gougou, president of the special delegation of Koubri, represented the administration and congratulated Naaba Kangr©. He wished for continued support from the canton chief to the community.

As part of the anniversary, Naaba Kangr© donated medical supplies to the Koubri Medical Center. The festivities, which kicked off on Saturday, included a fair and a p©tanque tournament with participation from about forty teams. Koubri emerged victorious over Balkui with an 11-9 score in the final match, receiving 100,000 CFA francs, while the runners-up received 75,000 CFA francs and medals.
