Sissili: Muslim worshippers pray for peace, social cohesion and living together on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Muslim faithful in Sapouy, capital of the Ziro province, celebrated the Eid al-Adha festival on Wednesday in an atmosphere of religious fervor and contemplation. The main prayer was led by Imam Boureima Nama, in the presence of administrative, traditional, and religious authorities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the administration was represented by the prefect, president of the special delegation of Sapouy. The ceremony was also attended by traditional authorities and representatives of other religious faiths, demonstrating the good understanding and interreligious dialogue that characterize the locality. In his sermon, Imam Boureima Nama recalled the values of faith, sacrifice, solidarity, and sharing embodied by Eid al-Adha. He invited the faithful to cultivate love for their neighbor, tolerance, and social cohesion.
During the prayer, the faithful offered blessings for peace, social harmony, living together, and religious tolerance. They also implored Allah for a lasting return of peace and security to Burkina Faso. The authorities present welcomed these prayers for the nation and encouraged the people to remain united in the face of the challenges facing the country.
Through this celebration, the Muslim community of Sapouy reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the strengthening of peace, social cohesion and development in the province of Ziro.
