Nahouri: The ecclesiastical region of the Assemblies of God (AD) churches in Guelwongo, Nahouri province, concluded its 3rd spiritual convention on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Presided over by the first national vice-president of the AD in Burkina Faso, Dr. Jephte Sawadogo, this convention brought together thousands of Christians for the occasion.
According to Burkina Information Agency, it was under the sign of doctrinal vigilance and national cohesion that thousands of Christians from the Guelwongo region, in the commune of Ziou, a locality located about fifty km east of P´, mobilized from February 11 to 15, 2026, for their third spiritual convention.
The convention was attended by administrative authorities and various personalities who came to encourage and support the Christians of the Guelwongo region.
Songs, worship, and prayers were the main features of these 5 days of gathering.
The speaker of the day, the national vice-president of the DA, Dr. Jephte Sawadogo, stressed the need for every Christian to adhere to holy doctrine in a global and local context marked by a plurality of currents of thought.
The exhortation is clear: cultivate rigorous spiritual discernment to avoid doctrinal deviations and, by extension, religious extremism.
During this convention, participants devoted times to fervent prayers for Burkina Faso, imploring the Almighty for the definitive return of peace, security, and the strengthening of social cohesion.
For the president of the Guelwongo region, Pastor Jean-Baptiste Wobgo Sia, this convention is already proving to be a mobilization success.
She aims to start again on solid spiritual foundations so that each believer becomes an ambassador of peace in their community.
For the ecclesiastical region of Guelwongo, the stakes are high: to transform religious fervor into a true engine of stability for the country.
It should be noted that this convention was sponsored by Theophile Zoure Sia, a son of the locality.
