Nakamb: The Nakamb region has reported a 57% success rate in the 2026 session of the Brevet d'tudes du premier cycle (BEPC) examinations, with 6,692 students passing out of 11,741 candidates who took the exams. This achievement places the region among the top performers in the country, highlighting the collective efforts of educators, students, and stakeholders in the education sector.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the region initially registered 12,007 candidates, comprising 7,683 girls and 4,324 boys. Out of these, 11,741 candidates appeared for the exams, with 5,123 passing in the first round. An additional 1,569 candidates succeeded in the second round, bringing the total number of successful students to 6,692.

Reacting to these results, Nachor Sorgho, the regional director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training in Nakamb, praised the performance, describing it as "satisfactory." He noted that the region's success is a testament to the dedication of the entire educational community. Sorgho extended congratulations to the successful candidates and urged those who did not pass to persevere and prepare for future examinations.

An analysis of the results by province showed that Kourittenga led with a 58.61% success rate, equating to 2,532 successful candidates out of 4,320 present. Following closely was Koulplogo, with a 56.89% success rate, translating to 553 successful candidates out of 972 present. The province of Boulgou recorded a success rate of 55.93%, with 3,607 candidates passing out of 6,449 present.

Nachor Sorgho attributed these outcomes to the diligent work of teachers, educational supervisors, administrative and management staff, as well as the FDS and VDP, who were involved throughout the academic year. He expressed gratitude to all education stakeholders for their dedication and encouraged them to continue their efforts to enhance the region's educational achievements in future examination sessions.
