Ouagadougou: The Director General of the National Laboratory for Building and Public Works (LNBTP), Dr. Sidpouita Mathilde Lompo/Koudougou, officially installed the first regional director of Nakamb©, Judica«l A. Koanda, a civil engineer, on Wednesday in Tenkodogo. The ceremony also marked the official opening of the regional office.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was chaired by the Director General of the LNBTP and witnessed the presence of the technical advisor in charge of public freedoms and conflict management, Abdou Hema, representing the Governor of the Nakamb© region. The event featured the official installation of the new regional director and the signing of the installation report.
The LNBTP has been active in the Nakamb© region since 2018, but the establishment of this regional office is aimed at bringing its expertise closer to the people, administrations, companies, real estate developers, and individuals with construction projects. In his address, the new regional director, Mr. Koanda, emphasized that this proximity will enable the LNBTP to more effectively support the region's development projects. He highlighted services such as soil and foundation studies, monitoring and supervision of rehabilitation and paving work, quality control of construction materials, and technical inspection of structures.
Mr. Koanda has requested the support of the administrative authorities and all regional stakeholders to enable the new management to fully play its role. The Director General of LNBTP, Dr. Sidpouita Mathilde Lompo/Koudougou, stated that this installation signifies the confidence placed in Mr. Koanda and marks a new phase in coordinating the institution's activities in the region.
Dr. Lompo/Koudougou urged Mr. Koanda to center his actions on listening, integrity, teamwork, and accountability. She also encouraged the staff of the new management team to support the regional director and prioritize collaborative work.
Information shared during the ceremony indicated that the establishment of an analysis laboratory in the region should allow users to benefit from a significant reduction in costs associated with certain services, owing to the proximity of the services. Through this new direction, the LNBTP aims to strengthen its technical support for enhanced quality of infrastructure built in Nakamb©.
The new regional director has committed to working with his colleagues in a spirit of collaboration, listening, and responsibility. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from the Director General, followed by a group photo to mark the official start of Judica«l A. Koanda's term.
