Namentenga: The Taparko Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) received a brand new ambulance on March 11, 2026, donated by Daguioa Tindano, a native of the village of Taparko in the commune of Yalgo. The reception ceremony was led by Sarar Yamogo, the 1st Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Commune of Yalgo, standing in for the Prefect and President of the Special Delegation, Mahamadi Ouar.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation, represented by Adama Tindano, is intended to facilitate the rapid evacuation of patients to the Yalgo medical center, thereby helping to save lives.
Mr. Sarar Yamogo, on behalf of the prefect and the special delegation, expressed gratitude to Daguioa Tindano, affectionately known as 'Barkbiiga', meaning worthy son in the Moor language, for his contribution to the commune and the CSPS of Taparko.
The community leaders, present at the ceremony, were deeply moved by the donation and offered blessings to the donor. They expressed hope that this act of generosity would be rewarded and serve as inspiration for others within the community to engage in local development initiatives.
In a symbolic gesture during the ceremony, Mr. Yamogo handed over the key of the ambulance to Thiomba Guitanga, representing the head nurse of the Taparko CSPS post, urging him to use it effectively for the benefit of the people.
Taparko is recognized as an iconic site in Burkina Faso, being home to the country's first industrial gold mining site.
