Namentenga: The Secretary General (SG) of Namentenga Province, Karim Isma«l Thombiano, officially installed the new Provincial Director (DP) of Sports, Youth, and Employment, Pendwend© Joseph Sawadogo, on April 9, 2026, in the presence of key stakeholders from the province, as well as family and friends. On this occasion, the SG called upon the constituted bodies to support him in the success of his mission.

According to Burkina Information Agency, speaking on behalf of the High Commissioner, Mr. Thombiano congratulated the new DP on his appointment, before urging the constituted bodies to support him in order to achieve the set objectives. He also commended the outgoing Provincial Director, Patrik Bationo, for his loyal service to the Nation for 8 years, 4 months and 17 days in the province.

'Supporting, innovating, and facilitating the professional integration of youth, sports, and craft organizations are my top priorities,' stated the new Director of Sports, Youth, and Employment. To achieve this, Mr. Sawadogo said he is counting on the support of established bodies in general, and on that of young people and craftspeople in particular.

The new official also expressed his commitment to supporting sports, youth, and craft organizations in their various areas, in accordance with his mission statement. According to the investment opportunities referent (ROPI) of the presidential initiative in Z©gu©d©guin, Adama Sawadogo, local stakeholders are very pleased to welcome the new DP, while reaffirming their willingness to support him in the success of his mission in the province.
